QualifyAI: A Year in Review

November 12, 2024

Celebrating One Year of Rapid Insights

We can’t quite believe that it has been 1 year since we began our partnership with QualifyAI, seeing us deliver valuable insights that drive impactful decisions at rapid pace to our clients across a whole host of sectors around the world.

From standalone projects to bolstering more traditional qualitative ones, we have deployed it in more than 15 languages on many-a-challenge across our Centres of Excellence, ensuring our strategic Human Intelligence stays firmly the loop alongside the Artificial Intelligence powering QAI.

As embracers of innovative approaches that allow us to spend more time on the strategic thinking, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what we’ve accomplished with it in our toolkit, to hopefully also inspire you to consider it as an option, particularly for those business-critical yet time/budget restricted insight requests.

So let’s dive in…

Global Reach, Local Impact

In just one year, we’ve successfully ran projects across 15 different countries, from bustling cities to remote areas, tapping into people’s minds across the globe. Whether it’s understanding cultural nuances or getting into specific regional insights, we’ve been able to deliver valuable data fast, empowering clients to make quick, well-informed decisions.

Rapid communications development

A major part of our work with QAI has been around communications development, helping clients test and evaluate ideas at every stage – not surprising given that it is one of our COEs and something we have won many-an-award for. Whether early concept testing to gauge initial appeal or diving deep into final creative executions almost ready to air, we’ve enabled clients to get the feedback they need without waiting weeks. The pace of our thinking mixed with QAI has helped those time-pressured clients move quickly and confidently no matter what stage of development they have come to us at.

Supporting innovation without breaking the bank

We’ve also helped clients narrow down lengthy lists of concepts with audience insights, providing clarity on which ideas resonate most. From rough drafts to near-final concepts, we’ve used QualifyAI to gather detailed executional feedback, refining ideas based on real-world responses, ensuring nothing gets lost in translation.

Audience Insight at scale

One of the standout features of QualifyAI has been its ability to recruit large sample sizes of real humans quickly and efficiently, meaning we can dive deep at pace like never before. We can now explore audience perceptions, behaviours, and preferences in a way that’s both broad and nuanced, providing clients with a richer, more comprehensive understanding of their target. Whether we’re uncovering hidden trends or validating hypotheses/learnings from smaller-sample, more traditional qualitative, QAI’s scalability has allowed us to deliver insights that are both fast and robust.

Integrating QualifyAI with Traditional Research

On that point, it has been really exciting for our team – and clients – to integrate QualifyAI into traditional research workflows. We’ve been able to enhance our findings without disrupting the overall flow of a project, from validating insights, adding real-world anecdotes, or exploring newly uncovered findings with more finesse. It’s seamless integration allows us to dig deeper and surface insights that might otherwise get missed, all while staying on track with deadlines…and who doesn’t want that?

With all this greatness, we aren’t stopping there. We have listened to clients and what they want, while also looking at we think would be great additions to make it even better in 2025 and beyond.

The first thing we want to tell you though is that QualifyAI is now available in over 90 languages…and will be adding more…which means you can now reach more markets than ever before. This helps you connect with diverse groups and gather insights from regions that may have been difficult to access due to language barriers. By tapping into these new markets, you’ll gain culturally relevant feedback that enhances your understanding of consumer behaviour and market trends globally. What this means for you: Access to more markets means richer, more varied data to support your international growth, tailor your products, and refine your marketing strategies.

New features that are live in QualifyAI right now

Projective Techniques

You can now run projective techniques on QAI and adapt them to fit your specific needs. These techniques - such as word associations, storytelling, and role-playing - help you dive deeper into people’s subconscious thoughts and feelings. By using these creative approaches, you can uncover hidden motivations and biases that straightforward questions might not reveal. This means you can gain deeper psychological insights and more authentic feedback, giving you a better understanding of what drives your customers and how they perceive your brand.

Image & Video Annotation with Summaries

We have also added in-built image and video annotation tools, making it easy for you to analyse visual content with more detail and nuance. We can highlight specific parts of images or videos and receive summarised outputs to streamline analysis: ideal for understanding how people respond to visual branding, advertisements, packaging, and more. Detailed visual analysis helps you uncover consumer preferences and emotional reactions that text responses alone might miss. Plus, the summarised outputs save you time and help you quickly extract actionable insights for your creative and design strategies.

Voice & Video Responses

In pursuit of a more natural and engaging research environment, people can answer your questions using voice or video responses. Being able to capture cues from tone of voice, facial expressions, and body language, these response formats add depth to the feedback, giving you context that text-only responses cannot provide. Voice and video responses offer more authentic and expressive feedback, helping you understand not just what your customers think, but how they feel. This is invaluable for crafting strategies that resonate emotionally and improve product fit.

AI now probes on Image Submissions

Last but by no means least, people can also submit images as part of their answers, and our AI image recognition will analyse the content and prompt follow-up questions based on what’s been uploaded. This makes it easier to understand the context behind user-generated/submitted content and lifestyle insights. Image-based feedback powered by AI helps you capture richer, more detailed information. This is particularly useful for building detailed consumer personas and refining marketing and product design to align with real-life user experiences.

These updates make it easier than ever to gather authentic, nuanced qualitative data, helping you gain deeper insights and make smarter, more impactful decisions. So, here’s to another year of lightning-fast insights using the power of AI, and to us helping you out in the near future.
